The party helps carry the body of Kolyan Indirovich, the former Burgomaster, to his final rest. Kolyan was a beacon of hope in this cursed place, driven to death by the relentless attacks on his home and beloved adopted daughter, Ireena.
At the Church lives Father Donavich, a priest devoting his life to the morning lord. His son, a vampire spawn, locked in the basement, is an eternal reminder that his prayers have no effect in the land of Barovia.
Father Donavich suggests bringing Ireena far away from here, to the Abbey of Saint Markovia a last stronghold of good. It is ~1 week travel towards the west. It is most dangerous near the villages, the camp and the woods should be ok. It takes 5 days to get away from the castle.
